Hello, Mac user here. I can't seem to run the 0.13 update. Whenever I start it up the game just shuts down, but my 0.12 works just fine, any fixes? Great work on the game btw!
I believe there's an issue with the latest build of Ren'py that's causing this issue on multiple platforms. We'll look into rolling back our build of Ren'py and redoing the entire 0.13 update. As this is usually a week-long process for testing/uploading, this may take a little time before a new update is out.
I broke down at the bit in chapter 13 where he leaves the photo of Lori behind. It struck quite close to home for me, I had to take a break.
If I had a single remaining photo of a long lost loved one and I had one final chance to take it with me or lose it forever, you bet I would take it with me. I wouldn't risk my life to retrieve it but he's not short of space or in a rush so it didn't make sense to me to just leave it behind.

I look forward to seeing how the story develops. Most games you wind up speed tapping through the story (cookie cutter style) but this game, you can see the time and effort spent on the immersive story.
The character development, time spent on painting a story, and great animation is superb!
That was single handedly the best ren'py I've ever seen anywhere. The story is so perfectly stitched together. The characters are so real and so likeable. It's even more fun living these moments with them than it was playing first The Last of Us. Also their relationship like makes so much sense it's amazing. And the art style, sorry The Art Style. Simply amazing. Keep up the good work and i hope to see it finish even better than it is now, and that will be a really tough thing to do. I'm so sad i can't support u finacialy.

I dont know if im still early into the game, but good lord, there is so much exposition and very minor character interaction. Also can you add a hide functionality to the text box? There are some scenes i'd love to have a background of.
Yeah, Ch1 is a bit heavy on exposition to get the player into the world. Ch2 and on will be far more focused on character interactions and their story. If you're playing on PC, you can hit the "H" button to hide the text box. Also, the images can be found in "game\images" if you want to go straight to the source.
This game is fantastic. The story is clearly well thought out + good, the art style is easy on eyes and while there are some mistakes in grammar (everyone does mistakes in grammar) they are so tiny it's hard to notice and it doesn't affect the gameplay at all.
I made an account because of this game, I can't wait to see future updates!
I have a quick question is there a way to save Emmie, or are there no chances of rescuing her. Cause I felt like shit seeing old men watch his granddaughter's death.
Also, this is one of the best games I've played on this platform, and the story's development was fantastic.

I am trying to download this through the itch desktop app and it says its invalid cause its third party. Anyone know how to fix or work around this
